Research
Innovative prostate cancer research is at the heart of our mission at Barrel Aged Charities. We partner with leading institutions like Atrium Health and Duke University to fund projects that enhance diagnosis and treatment. Our collaborations with the International Prostate Cancer Foundation focus on using AI to improve cancer staging, while our work with Wake Forest University addresses healthcare disparities affecting men. By strategically investing in these initiatives, we ensure that your support drives meaningful advancements in prostate cancer research and care.
Advocacy
Our advocacy efforts are dedicated to raising awareness and promoting equitable access to prostate cancer screenings and treatments. By targeting communities with the greatest need, we collaborate with local leaders in Charlotte to disseminate vital information and resources. These initiatives aim to reduce healthcare disparities and empower men to take proactive steps in managing their prostate health. Through strategic advocacy, we amplify our impact and ensure that every individual has the opportunity to receive timely and effective care.
Scholarships
In 2023, Barrel Aged Charities established two merit-based scholarships for graduating high school seniors impacted by prostate cancer. These $1,500 scholarships support students attending four-year universities, two-year colleges, or trade schools, helping to alleviate financial burdens and fostering academic aspirations. By investing in education, we empower the next generation to achieve their goals while honoring those affected by prostate cancer. Fundraising
Born from the camaraderie of the bourbon community, Barrel Aged Charities hosts exceptional fundraising events to support the fight against prostate cancer. Our top-tier events feature exclusive raffles, auctions with rare bourbon bottles, unique experiences, and access to coveted BAC barrel picks. These events not only provide donors with memorable experiences but also generate vital funds for our initiatives. In 2022, our first event successfully raised $170,000, demonstrating the powerful impact of community-driven fundraising.

Operating Costs
At Barrel Aged Charities, we prioritize maximizing every dollar toward our mission by maintaining low overhead costs. While some administrative expenses are necessary, we seek out grants and additional funding sources to ensure that the majority of donations directly support prostate cancer research, treatment, and advocacy. Our commitment to financial responsibility guarantees that your contributions have the greatest possible impact on improving prostate cancer outcomes and supporting those affected.
